What is this???

by Luke
(Tennessee)

Found in east tennessee by one of my grandparents when plowing, came out of the ground looking just like the picture... smooth, mayne even tumbled pitch black stone, with a colorful crystal spot. Almost looks like a buckeye, and has slight rings that can only be seen up close. It has a strange wieght and shape, amd if you set it down and give it a push, it will wobble back and foward like a metranome! I can find no other stones on the net that even come close, and all the people I ask give me different answers... Some one help me lol is it worthless, or some kind of rare artifact?

Thanks!

Thank you for your input, please, any and all submit your opinions! Could be agate, and the black part of the stone could be the volcanic rock part🦄

Somewhere in between

This looks like agate. See this page:

I would say neither worthless nor rare artifact. It is a very beautiful stone, but probably not worth a lot of money.
