Got rock from grandfather and would like to no how to sell it and how much it's worth

Do you know that it is kimberlite?

Do a scratch test. If it is kimberlite you could have diamonds.

More likely it is quartz.

I do not know much about diamonds except it is much harder than quartz. See this page to learn about scratch test (hardness)
